Slice the onions and the pears. In a pan heat 2 Tablespoons Butter and 2 Tablespoons Oil and cook the onions until caramelized, remove to cool. Add 1 Tablespoon Butter and cook the pears for 3-5 mins, then let cool. Add salt and pepper and honey to the onions and stir. Slice the sourdough into thin pieces and line on a baking sheet. Baste on oil and bake at 425°F for 6-8 minutes. Add parmesan, onions, pears, walnuts and drizzle with balsamic reduction. For the balsamic reduction: Bring the balsamic, brown sugar, and red pepper flakes to a simmer for 5 mins then let cool.
