This creamy balsamic chicken recipe is good enough for a date night in or easy enough for a weeknight meal with the family. Serve with mashed potatoes, oven-roasted cauliflower, or any of your favorite sides.

Pound the chicken to 1 inch thick and season both sides with salt, pepper, and garlic powder to taste. Cook the chicken, flipping after 5 minutes, and then remove once fully cooked through. Add the butter and onion to the pan and cook for 5 minutes or until soft. Add the garlic, Italian seasoning, sugar, and balsamic vinegar and cook for 3 minutes. Next, add the chicken broth and bring to a simmer. Add in the cream, simmer again, and then turn down the heat to low. Bring the chicken back into the pan, spoon over the gravy to reheat, and then serve with your favorite sides!
