Honey Bourbon Cocktail w/ Rosemary Syrup

This week gave us Wisconsinites a taste of fall and got my mind churning on some delicious fall bourbon cocktails! Enter this Rosemary treat!

For the Rosemary Syrup: Combine honey, water, and 2 sprigs of rosemary in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then remove from heat and let steep for 10 minutes. Strain out the rosemary and let the syrup cool. For the Cocktail: Combine bourbon, rosemary syrup, and bitters in a mixing glass with ice. Stir until well-chilled. Strain the mixture into a glass over a clear ice cube. Garnish with an orange peel and a sprig of rosemary.
