I have always been a sucker for traditional bruschetta and it is typically one of the apps I bring to Thanksgiving. This year I decided to try something new with a spicy balsamic reduction and oh boy was it a perfect addition!

For the Bruschetta: Core and dice 7-8 ripe vine tomatoes. Dice 1/3 onion. Mince 4 garlic cloves. Chop 4 basil leaves. For the Balsamic: Add 2 cups of balsamic vinegar, 1/2 cup of brown sugar, and 1/2 teaspoon (or more, optional) of red pepper flakes to a sauce pan. Bring to a light boil and then reduce heat.
