Chicken Piccata w/ Gnocchi

What you need

bunch basil
chicken breast

tsp pepper

tbsp butter

oz potato gnocchi

cup plain flour

oz parmesan cheese

shallot

tsp table salt
lemon

cup chicken broth

tbsp heavy cream
tbsp vegetable oil

clove garlic clove
Instructions
Pune the chicken thin, mix the flour, Parmesan, salt and pepper together. Dredge the chicken in the flour and shake off the excess. In a pan, add the oil and 3T butter. Cook the chicken, flipping after 3 ish minutes and removing once cooked through and golden brown. Next add the chopped shallot and cook for 2 minutes. Add the garlic cooking for 30 seconds. In goes the chicken broth. Bring to a simmer and add the gnocchi. Cook for 5 minutes and then reduce the heat. Add the cream, zest, and lemon juice. Then season with salt and pepper to taste and stir in the capers. Reheat the chicken in the sauce. Top with fresh parm and basil!View original recipe
