What you need
cup pasta water

shallot

clove garlic clove

tsp salt & pepper

fl oz vodka

oz tomato paste

tbsp unsalted butter

cup heavy cream

oz penne

tsp red pepper flake

bunch fresh basil
Instructions
Melt the butter, then cook the chopped shallot. Bring salted water to a boil, and add the penne. Add the garlic to the shallot and cook for 30 seconds. Do the same with the vodka. Mix in the tomato paste then add the cream. Season with salt and pepper to taste and then red pepper flakes. Stir in the basil and the cooked pasta.View original recipe
