Scallops with Parmesan Pasta

If this title doesn’t scream “Date Night In” to you, I don’t know what else will. The blanched asparagus in the Parmesan pasta is a meal on its own, but throw in the scallops and you have the perfect meal!

What you need

garlic

cup chicken broth

tsp onion powder
tsp dried oregano
tsp dried basil

tsp dried thyme

tsp black peppercorn

cup milk

spaghetti pasta

cup parmesan cheese

scallop

salt

canola oil
Instructions
Trim the tough ends off the asparagus. In a pot of boiling water (with salt) add the asparagus and cook for 3-4 minutes. Remove and immediately add to a bowl of ice water to stop the cooking. Melt the butter and cook the garlic till fragrant. Add in the broth and spices and bring to simmer. Then the milk and pasta. One almost Al dente reduce heat and mix in the Parmesan. Add the sliced asparagus and eat! Get the pan and oil nice and hot. Season both sides of the scallops with salt and pepper. Add to the pan and sear the first side for 2 mins and the second side for 1 minute. Remove, add to the pasta and eat! Enjoy!View original recipe
